Rockin' Robins: A Night for the Blues.

In 2025 at A Night for the Blues we made it through the 40s and are moving into classic Americana. We know the work continues, but we will celebrate the fall of facism, build those picket fences, and move on out to the suburbs. I’ll clue you in this year's 1950’s themed Night for the Blues is sure to be the bee’s knees.

Dust off your saddle shoes, grease that hair, and join us for a night at the 1950s drive in. We will have all the concessions you cool cats and daddios can dig. Think about bringing your paramore, pin them, and go steady because you are not going to want to miss what is happening on the big screen.

Come ready to cut a rug on the dance floor, bust a gut with old and new friends alike, and get Betty Sue to watch those curtain climbers, because you sure won’t want to miss this gas of a good time.

Make sure to bring the dough because you will find the most modern conveniences in our Silent Auction. Provided from all the hip liberal folks in and around the county. We will have awards for the rockin’ robins. It’s sure to be the tops, a swell and swinging good time. Certainly, act fast, we expect this who’s who event to sell out and we wouldn’t want you to be a square from normalsville who missed out.

Meet the candidates running; they aren’t the establishment. No Red Scare today, Ole’ Joe McCarthy is a lame cat and is not invited to watch the silver screen with us. This ain’t no snow job, get ready for a cold Coke Cola and nice warm popcorn, a down right made in the shade, gangbuster time.

If you still can’t dig, then give me a bell (via email events@hamcodemsin.org) and I’ll be happy to calm any gringles. Floor it and get in a jiffy because I don’t want you pitching a hissy fit when these tickets go lickety split. If you still don’t know what to wear or how to look chromed up, well we are about to be cooking with gas on Cloud 9 because we have a pinboard just for you and your dolly.

Get cranked because tickets will go on sale March 9th at 9am, get them to claim dibs on your seat, you with it?

Want to contribute to the Silent Auction or sponsor any portion of the event? Hit me on the horn (email above) and I’ll get you knowin’

The 1950s was a period of rest from the weary war, an attempt to return to the status quo, before realizing much more work had to be done. Let, May 16th at The Wellington, be your period of rest from a job well done in the primaries, while we get right back out there to keep progressing.
