Carmel, IN - J.D. Ford today released his first television ad of the general election, going live digitally now and airing on broadcast TV starting tomorrow. The 30-second spot highlights that Ford is running for Congress to change the way things are done in Washington. He will focus, as he always has, on the actual needs of Hoosiers to lower costs by taking on the corruption that dominates DC.

“I’m running for Congress to help Hoosiers, to stand up for them and to finally start getting something done to make life more affordable for every family,” said Ford. “I’m tired of politicians like Victoria Spartz who are putting their own personal profit and political career ahead of Hoosiers. Since getting into office, Victoria Spartz has sold over $5 million in stocks, and has been funded by special interests and voted over and over again to make life more expensive for working families while cutting costs for billionaire corporations and the wealthy. I'll always put Hoosiers first.”

Ford’s campaign in IN-05 is one of DCCC’s Battlefield Districts in Play. A recent poll shows the race as currently within the margin-of-error, with Spartz having a narrow 2-point lead (46% Ford / 48% Spartz) with Ford outraising Spartz in both Q1 and Q2.
