What’s a Precinct Committeeperson (PC)?

A Precinct Committeeperson (PC) acts as the vital link between the Indiana Democratic Party and the current and future Democrats in their precinct. PCs play a critical role in connecting people to the Democratic Party and ensuring the Party stays connected to the community.

As a PC, you'll take on key responsibilities, including:

  • Supporting voter engagement efforts in your precinct.

  • Communicating party initiatives to your neighbors.

  • Helping shape the future of the Party by participating in decision-making processes.

Why This Role is for You:

Here’s what you can do as a PC:

  • Fill Vacancies: Vote in county caucuses to fill ballot vacancies or elected Democratic positions if needed.

  • Engage Your Community: Meet your neighbors, encourage voter turnout, and foster Democratic values.

  • Build Connections: Network with fellow Democrats by attending volunteer events, fundraisers, and other party gatherings.
