Door-to-door canvassing has an effectiveness rate of 6%, which is the highest among various traditional methods. You can find canvassing opportunities on our events page.

You have the choice to vote absentee in Hamilton County, or you can return to the county and vote in person during the Early Voting period. Alternatively, you can declare your college address as your permanent residence and vote there.

If you meet certain conditions, you can either apply for an absentee ballot to vote by mail, or apply to vote by travel board (and a voting board will visit you so that you can vote from your location). The deadline to apply to vote by mail is April 25, 2024. The deadline to request a travel board visit is May 6. Instructions and forms for both of these alternatives are available on the Hamilton County Elections website.

Yes! The majority of races in Hamilton County have at least one Democrat on the ballot, and the race for Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate is contested, as well as several other races across the county. Find out who’s on your ballot here.

Yes, you can vote early simply by going to an early voting location during the early voting period. You do not need a reason to vote early and you don’t need to fill out an application. Dates, times, and locations for early voting are listed on the Hamilton County Elections website, and early voting begins April 9 in Noblesville.

Officially, school board elections are nonpartisan. Party affiliations are not included on the ballots and parties are supposed to remain neutral. In 2022, Republicans unilaterally made school board elections partisan by endorsing particular candidates. And they have tried to pass bills in the state legislature to have party affiliations of school board candidates included on ballots.

School board general elections in Indiana are held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November every two years in even-numbered years.
