Phone Banking Policy

HAMILTON COUNTY DEMOCRATIC CENTRAL COMMITTEE USE OF HEADQUARTERS PHONE BANKING POLICY
Campaigns seeking to use the Hamilton County Democratic Party Headquarters for phone banking must meet the requirements below and agree to follow all guidelines set by the Hamilton County Democratic Central Committee.
Eligibility Requirements
Must be an officially established campaign committee with voters located in Hamilton County
All required campaign filings must be completed and approved
Must have authorized access to the Voter Activation Network (VAN) through the local party and/or Indiana Democratic Party
Phone Banking Guidelines
Phone scripts must be submitted to the Party Secretary for review before phone banking begins
Campaigns may not use the name of the Hamilton County Democratic Party during the primary election season
During the general election, scripts must include a line encouraging support for all Democratic candidates
Campaigns must use their own phones and the Party phone system may not be used
Please clean-up after banking and consider restocking snacks
Usage Limits
Primary Season (Second Monday in January – Last Saturday in April) • Up to 2 sessions per month • Maximum 4 total hours per month for all usage
General Election Season (First Monday in June – Third Saturday in November) • Up to 4 sessions per month • Maximum 8 total hours per month for all usage
Conduct Expectations
Campaigns that:
• Disparage other Democratic candidates or campaigns • Use offensive or demeaning language • Intentionally share false or misleading information • Bring harm or negative attention to the Democratic Party will lose phone banking privileges and may face additional restrictions on Party support.
