State Senate - S21
Kirsten Root is a Master of Social Work graduate from IU Indianapolis and a lifelong Hoosier who has spent her career showing up for families in crisis. She has worked in child safety and public service, and most recently has served in frontline social work roles connecting people to care, resources, and stability when it matters most.
Kirsten is running for State Senate to put everyday people first and deliver practical results for District 21, including lowering costs for working families, protecting access to quality, affordable health care, and strengthening the public services our communities rely on. She believes government works best when it listens, tells the truth, and treats every person with dignity.
